Motorcycle Insurance in Europe vs UK?

Motorcycle Insurance in Europe vs UK?

Postby Andrew » Sun Aug 01, 2010 9:04 pm

I am considering getting a sportsbike but since the insurance in UK is a killer I am considering the following scenario. Register the bike in Europe (country in EU) where it is registered to a mate of mine. Then I bring in the bike with all the insurance certificates and taxes, but since in EU it is not the driver but the vehicle that it is insured I can drive it around without complications. The only problem I know is that I have to get it out of the country every 6 months and yearly I need to get it back to do its MOT. DO you think that there is a problem of some sort with that plan?

When I go looking for replacement car insurance is a fast and easy way to save your money. You can get a easy quote at websites they usually give you competing prices. I know people who have used and recommend http://www.BestRatesToday.info

autoinsurance.maclenet.com - try this one. I have their car insurance and, as I know, they can provide such a service.
