My married bookkeeper went to lunch with my married former business insurance agent. What's going on?

Postby Prez9772 » Thu Jul 29, 2010 12:18 am

I own a small business. My insurance agent changed companies and had signed a non-compete contract so I no longer can buy insurance from him for 2 years. He is about 40 and not at all attractive but is nice and has a sense of humor. Today he came to our business and apparently had a pre-arranged lunch "date" with my bookkeeper who is about 29 and quite attractive. Both are married. I didn't even know they were friendly. Suddenly, I never want to do business with him again. I see this as an ego boost for him with no concern for appearances. My bookkeeper has no say in any decision-making in the company. What possible motive is there for either one.

What in the name of heaven has ANY of this to do with YOU? Why does it matter whether you think your insurance agent is attractive or not? Why would you have had any reason to know if they were acquainted outside of work? What difference does it make how old each of them is? What's going on, you ask? Well, apparently two adult people that you know had lunch together. Better break out that scarlet letter "A" for your bookkeeper to wear around her neck.Or you could just MYOB.
